Now with commercial airlines so readily available and affordable, these days we can go to pretty much any golf course around the world. But for goodness sake, if you are going to one of these golf courses, please do a little golf training before you go. You don’t want to make a fool out of yourself. These are pretty professional courses.
Pine Valley Golf Course – Clementon, New Jersey
Founded way back in 1913, we have given Pine Valley Golf Course the number one position. It is an extremely private course which is breathtaking. It really has that feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. This par 70 18 hole golf course takes our number one position.
Cypress Point Club – Pebble Beach, California
Cypress point is another very old golf course, founded in 1929. This par 72 course is spectacular. Like Pine Valley Golf Course, it is also extremely private. You won’t see too many casual golfers here as they just don’t know how to get to the course. It is located just south of Pebble Beach in California and runs along the coast line. This is also an 18 hole course.
Miurfield Village Golf Club – Gullane, Scotland, UK
Now this is an old course! Founded in 1744! And no, that is not a typo. This par 71 course is the course that Jack Nicklaus won his first British Open. This 18 hole course is not for the amateur of weekend worrier. This is a very tough course and probably shouldn’t be attempted by anyone unless they know what they are doing.
St Andrews (Old Course) – St Andrews, Scotland, UK
This is possibly the most famous course in the world. And it is even older then Miurfield Village Gold Course. This course has actually been around since the 15th century. This place is massive. There are 5 x 18 hole courses and 1 x 9 hole course. The 9 hole course is the one more for beginners. For anyone who loves their golf, this is an awesome place to play. You will never get bored here and you will be challenged. These courses are public but reservations are needed, don’t expect to just get up there and play a game of golf. The old course is a par 72.
Pebble Beach Golf Links – Pebble Beach, California
This is also one of the most famous courses in the world and probably the most famous in the United States. This par 72 golf course is also an 18 hole course. Founded in 1919, most of the fairways are very narrow which makes this course very tough for the weekend worrier. There are also spectacular views of the Californian coast line so try not to get too distracted while playing your shot.
